Usage of Benzyl Acetate

- Apr 21, 2018-

1. The use of spices. Benzyl acetate is the main component of jasmine and other extracts. It is an indispensable spice in the deployment of fragrant flowers such as fragrant, ylang and other flowers. Because it is inexpensive, it is mostly used in soaps and other industrial flavors. It is often used in a large number of flavors such as jasmine, white orchid, cornucopia, moonshine, and narcissus. It can also be used in small amounts in edible pears, apples, bananas, and mulberries. 2. Solvent use Benzyl acetate dissolves 0.23% by weight in water and is insoluble in glycerin. However, it can be miscible with alcohols, ethers, ketones, esters, aliphatic hydrocarbons, and aromatic hydrocarbons. It has good dissolving power for oil, nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, etc., and can dissolve rosin, glycerol trirosinate, coumarone resin and so on. Therefore, it is used as a solvent for shellac paints, alkyd resins, nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, dyes, greases, printing inks and the like.
