The solvent layer of the Sol-gel is weakened by the solvent layers in the condition of heating or adding other solvents (it has strong adhesion with the original solvent), which leads to the colloid coalescence. such as adding ethanol, acetone can remove the water layer of the Sol to be precipitated.
